Our Policy also describes the measures we take to protect the security of the information you provide to us, including without limitation, through this Website. We also tell you how you can reach us to update your Personal Data, ask questions you may have about our personal data protection practices and provide feedback on our personal data protection practices.

Personal Data” in this Policy means data that can identify an individual.

2. Sources of Personal Data

You may have provided the Personal Data to us personally or authorized other parties to provide the Personal Data to us and consent (on your behalf) to our collection of your Personal Data from these parties. These parties can include individuals such as your superiors, employees, subordinates, colleagues, your family members, partners and your friends, or third parties whom we have engaged to collect personal data on our behalf.

Where you give us Personal Data about other individuals, you confirm that you are authorized to disclose and consent, on their behalf, to the processing of such Personal Data for the purposes described in section 3 “Purposes for which we collect and use Personal Data”, or other purposes for which your consent has been sought and obtained.

3. Purposes for which we collect and use Personal Data

We collect and use the Personal Data that you provide to us for the following purposes:

If you are a Vendor / Service Provider

(i)

For the supply of products and services and support by vendors / service providers to TYJ;

(ii)

To keep vendors / service providers updated on changes to TYJ policies;

(iii)

To evaluate and to improve TYJ’s products and services;

(iv)

To evaluate the products and services provided by vendors / service providers to TYJ;

(v)

To comply with applicable law, regulation, the requests of governmental and regulatory authorities, or orders of court; and

(vi)

To enforce contractual and legal rights and obligations and/or to prosecute or defend legal actions or other proceedings.

(i)

Account maintenance, including administering any consumer loyalty or rewards programs that are associated with your account;

(ii)

Customer service - To respond to queries or comments on TYJ’s products and services;

(iii)

Product improvement and customization - To evaluate TYJ’s products and services and how TYJ can improve its products and services;

(iv)

Research, audit and analysis – For improving TYJ’s goods and services, content and advertising;

(v)

Consumer engagement;

(vi)

Contests and other promotions – To communicate with customers as part of providing products and services, including event management and lucky draw or contests;

(vii)

Marketing communication - To send customers information, updates, promotions, and marketing and advertising materials in relation to TYJ and its goods, products and/or services (including without limitation, customising the content for you, and to contact you on updates), or those of any individual, firm, corporation, organisation or entity having an agreement or understanding with TYJ with respect to the cross-selling or cross-promotion of goods and/or services;

(viii)

Third party social networking, which may be integrated in our websites or applications for the purposes of running contests, allowing you to share content with friends, etc.;

(ix)

Website improvement and personalization;

(x)

To provide TYJ website features such as the sharing of pictures, videos, artwork or other messages or content, and the sharing of news, product information, promotions, wish list items, or other content;

(xi)

To enforce contractual and legal rights and obligations and/or to prosecute or defend legal actions or other proceedings; and

(xii)

Other general purposes (e.g. website security, internal research, etc.) – including complying with applicable laws, regulations, requests of governmental and regulatory authorities, or orders of court.

Others

(i)

To evaluate applications for employment / job positions within TYJ;

(ii)

To conduct due diligence/background checks on job applicants; and

(iii)

To organise and manage events for community and charitable purposes.

Please note that not all of the listed uses above will be applicable to every individual.

We only collect and use Personal Data for purposes which you have consented to and for which we have been authorized. If we need to use your Personal Data for any purpose which you have not previously consented to, we will seek your consent prior to using your Personal Data for the new purpose.

4. Disclosure of Personal Data

TYJ does not sell or rent Personal Data that we collect from individuals, including our website visitors. In the course of, or in connection with providing our products and services to our customers, we may disclose, share and transfer Personal Data to the following parties:

Any affiliate, associate, subsidiary or partner of TYJ;

(ii)

Our technology, marketing and logistics service providers; and

(iii)

Credit card and payment processing companies.

TYJ requires that the parties to whom we transfer Personal Data, and our service providers, to implement adequate levels of protection in order to protect Personal Data. We also require that these parties only process Personal Data strictly for purposes for which we engage them and which are consistent with the purposes that we have described in section 3 “Purposes for which we collect and use Personal Data” or with other purposes for which consent has been sought and obtained.

In addition, we disclose Personal Data in the following circumstances:

(i)

in response to a request from law enforcement authorities or other government officials;

(ii)

to comply with a court order or direction from a government agency or regulatory authority ordering the disclosure of the Personal Data; and

(iii)

where the disclosure is necessary for investigations or legal proceedings.

5. Transfer of Personal Data overseas
To the extent that we may need to transfer Personal Data outside of Singapore, whether to our group companies or business partners or third party service providers or simply to data storage facilities, we shall do so in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”), to ensure that we provide a standard of protection to Personal Data so transferred that is comparable to the protection under the PDPA.

We employ a range of technological and physical security arrangements and maintain safeguards to protect against the accidental or unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, deletion and other similar risks to Personal Data.

7. Retention of your Personal Data
TYJ only retains Personal Data for as long as the retention is required for the purposes for which we collected the Personal Data, the purposes described in this Policy and for our business and legal purposes. Generally, we do not retain Personal Data for a period of longer than 7 years after the original purposes for which the Personal Data was collected have ceased to be applicable, unless otherwise required by law or other mandatory directions by court or government authorities or for purposes of legal proceedings or other similar proceedings or investigations.

9. Correcting your Personal Data

TYJ takes reasonable measures to ensure that the Personal Data we collect about individuals are accurate and complete. For this reason, if there is any change or update in Personal Data, we would like to know about these changes or updates. If there is a change or an update in your Personal Data or if there is a need to correct any Personal Data of yours that we have, please write to us and provide us with the following details:

• Your name and an email address or mailing address at which we can contact you;
• The nature of our relationship with you; and
• The Personal Data for which there has been a change, update or correction.

As it is important to us that the Personal Data that we have about you is accurate and complete, it may be necessary for us to request for supporting documentation from you. We will contact you if we require supporting documentation from you.

10. Access requests and feedback on Personal Data

You may request for information from TYJ on what Personal Data of yours we have and how we have used and shared your Personal Data during the last one year before the date of your request. TYJ may charge a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs of responding to your request for information, such as any printing or postage costs and any costs that TYJ specifically incurs in order to retrieve the relevant information to respond to your requests.

You may also choose to withdraw your consent to TYJ’s use, collection, sharing or processing of your Personal Data at any time by notifying our Data Protection Officer at the contact details listed in Section 8 above. Please understand that your withdrawal of your consent to our use of your Personal Data may affect our provision of products and services to you or our business dealings with you, depending on the nature of your relationship with us.

11. Cookies

A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier which is transferred to your hard drive through your web browser when you visit our websites at www.tyjfood.com or www.teeyihjia.com. It enables our website to recognise you when you make subsequent visits to our website and improve our service to you. Cookies help to track visitor use of the website, compile statistical reports on website activity and compile aggregate information about areas of our website that are visited most frequently. This information can be used to improve the content of our website. If you wish to reject our cookie, you can configure your browser to do so, but some of our website features may not function if you remove cookies from your browser.
