Seaweed Crackers

Add a touch of crispiness to your seaweed with Spring Home Spring Roll Pastry!

Ingredients List

  • Spring Home’ Spring Roll Pastry with Egg – 8.5 inch(thawed)*
  • Egg Wash 
  • Seaweed Sheets
  • Sesame Seeds

 

Preparation

  1. Apply egg wash thoroughly on one side of a pastry sheet. 
  2. Place seaweed sheet onto pastry, covering just half of the side with egg wash. 
  3. Sprinkle some sesame seeds onto the seaweed sheet.
  4. Fold the side without seaweed sheet over and gently press to ensure the pastry and seaweed have been adhered together nicely.
  5. Using a pair of scissors, cut it into strips with width of about 2.5cm. 
  6. Stack the strips together and further cut them into smaller pieces with length of about 4cm.
  7. Deep-fry them at 185°C for about 1 minute or till golden brown.
  8. Remove the crackers and drain oil. 
  9. Serve and enjoy.


*Tip: Covering thawed pastry with a clean damp cloth helps to retain moisture in pastry.
